Medic Vision signs MOU to develop a Medical Skills Training Centre and supply medical and surgical training simulators to Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, China

15th November 2006: Medic Vision Pty Ltd (“Medic Vision”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Premier Bionics Ltd (“Premier Bionics” – ticker:PBI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) with the Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China to develop a ‘state of the art’ skills training centre and the supply of computer-based virtual reality surgical simulation and consulting services. The MOU calls for a contract amounting to 5,000,000 RMB (approximately A$830,000).

Southern Medical University, the former First Military Medical University, is recognised as one of the premier medical universities in China. The university comprises seven prestigious affiliated hospitals and sixteen schools. Medic Vision has been contracted to supply a number of simulators for various medical and surgical specialities including laparoscopic, endovascular and endoscopy skills training thereby expanding the educational and training opportunities for Southern Medical University.

Commenting on the award of this contract, Medic Vision CEO, Mr. Ross Horley said, “We currently have a number of significant projects in negotiation in China following the success of the Chongqing Skills Centre development. The Southern Medical University is one of such projects and represents a further important step in our strategy to be the leading service provider of medical and surgical skills training technology and management in China.

Importantly, the securing of this MOU has led to a record month for Medic Vision with new sales activities totalling in excess of A$1.0 million.”
