Gippsland Limited Seiga Drilling Results

Wide intersection of 48m at 1.60g/t Au in hole CRC056 including 8m at 7.75g/t Au 28m at 1.3g/t Au in hole CRC060 including 12m at 2.23g/t Au Continuous zone of mineralisation extended to over 500m Discontinuous zones of mineralisation over 900m Open along strike and at depth Preparation of JORC resource estimate Gippsland (ASX & AIM: GIP) today announces the first results of the second-phase drilling at the Company's Seiga gold prospect at Wadi Allaqi, Egypt. This drilling include some infill drilling within the main zone of mineralisation adjacent to historical workings, some follow-up drilling of anomalous drilling results along strike from the historical workings and completion of the reconnaissance drilling along the shear zone.
Commenting today Gippsland's Executive Chairman, Jack Telford said "These drilling results confirm the presence of at least three separate zones of mineralisation within the shear system occurring over a strike length of at least 900m. Furthermore, recently completed drilling for which analytical results have not yet been received are expected to extend the strike length of the mineralised system. The Company's geologists will now commence the preparation of JORC Code resources which are expected to be announced mid-January 2007."
